Alejandra Marinovic
Education
Alejandra Marinovic is an assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Ethics of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She holds a degree in Commercial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Economics from UC, as well as a Master’s and a PhD in Economics from Columbia University, USA. Until 2021 she was a professor at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School. Previously, she held positions in the public sector as an advisor in the International Affairs area of the Ministry of Finance and as a Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Chile.
Research
Her main research focus is human and social relationships, approached through ethics and economics, business ethics, and the ethics of development and public policy. Her most recent research addresses citizenship education, prosocial behavior, integral development, and the impact of artificial intelligence on society. In the area of business ethics, she leads research on ethical decision-making in firms and the social networks that contextualize them.
