Cristián Hodge
Education
Cristián Hodge is an assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Ethics and the Faculty of Theology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He holds a PhD in Theology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and completed postdoctoral studies at the Alphonsian Academy, Higher Institute of Moral Theology, Pontifical Lateran University (Rome, Italy).
Research
His general research and teaching areas are ethics and economics, particularly the relationship between fraternity, solidarity, and the common good and central concepts in economic science. He has also specialized in human development and Catholic social teaching. He served as a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Universidad San Sebastián and as Director of its PhD Program in Philosophy. He developed a FONDECYT Initiation Project 2023–2025 (ANID, Chile) investigating “Fraternity and Economic Efficiency.”
